Class Description:9/11: Do We Know the Truth?
The attacks on 9/11/01 have provided the rationale for the War on Terror, including the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, for the Patriot Act, and for the torture scandal. Yet according to 2004 & 2006 Zogby polls, 49% of New York City respondents believe our government was complicit in these attacks; 66% of New Yorkers and 45% of Americans endorse a new criminal investigation.
According to an August 2006 Scripps Howard/Ohio University poll, 36% of the American public suspects that federal officials assisted in the 9/11 terrorist attacks or took no action to stop them so the United States could go to war in the Middle East.
We invite you to find out why. With an emphasis on facts, we look at historical precedents, the failure of our air defense system on 9/11, the collapse of the World Trade Center towers, the unexplained collapse of WTC Building 7, and the Pentagon attack.
